With much thanks to Tracey (Fidelis Maine Coons) Wanda joined us here to fill the void that was left by the heartbreak of having to retire Holly from our breeding.
Wanda walked in as a kitten and from day 1, she made herself at home.
To date she has been mated to Ubaduke twice, and has produced lovely kittens.
She has also been exhibited sparingly, with outstanding results.
She continues to amaze me every day and takes everything in her stride.
She loves being inside our home, but equally loves being in our outdoor space, cosying up to Ubaduke whenever she can.
Her final hot date is planned with Truffle (our new European import boy), . . . but obviously we will need to see how that goes.

Our darling "Lulu" with so much thanks to Shireen (SuperCoons).
Attending shows is a benefit in so many ways (although it does take you away from family and other priorities especially when interstate).
It is well worth the time when you are rewarded with meeting other like minded people. I finally met Shireen at at National Show weekend in Melbourne, and when I was lucky enough to see the very first pic of her new import boy (he's gorgeous) before he began his long trip out to Australia, I knew instantly that I loved his look and he would compliment what I work towards. If I was very lucky - one day I might be able to own a kitten from him to enhance our breeding.
So Im very fortunate to have his stunning daughter join us here, . . . her mother also comes from well established Australian bloodlines.
I must add she is an absolute darling, she loves talking to me, carries her long tail high above her back and follows me and my son everywhere.

"Holly" joined us as a very much longed for new edition to our breeding program.
it is with much thanks to Tracey (Fidelis Maine Coons) that we have enjoyed every minute, and every learning experience that she bought us.
After a great start to her show career in kitten class she very early had her first season at just 6 months, and it came with the dreaded pyometra. Something I've never experienced in all my years breeding the GSDs, but I was aware of it. Unfortunately the treatment for pyometra is very intense but Holly got through it all. We consider ourselves very lucky indeed that it never became life threatening although it came at a cost.
Holly continued to have a call every 2 weeks, such a lot for any female cat to bear. She was mated at under 12 months for health reasons, lost her singleton due to not producing any milk. We decided to try again, as her health was outstanding apart from the threat of pyometra striking again.
This time again she only could produce another single baby, . . . and yes, sadly she produced no milk. We were ready this time though and hand raised him, starting with small feeds every 2 hours. I cannot thank my hubby enough for the support he gave me through those first early weeks.
The baby boy held on and with alot of support from other breeders experiences he grew into a lovely boy now in his forever home.
Goes without saying that we made the decision after much heartache to retire Holly as a breeding queen, although she reigns over her new human slave bringing him Maine Coon magic every day.
UPDATE: our gorgeous Holly is now retired from breeding, and has found her furrever loving human slave - Peter.

We are so lucky indeed to have Witchy here with us today. She is the very long awaited for and only child (read "DIVA") from a stunning girl that proved to us that she wasn't meant to be a mother (she is now in her loving forever home with an adoring slave)
Witchy has achieved some outstanding results in her time in kitten class and is almost titled, although she prefers to stay at home, she is a darling that keeps us all on our toes and purrs very loudly when she approves of our attention.
She is the mother of our gorgeous "D" Litter, Cats NSW CH. DRESSED TO IMPRESS, and our lovely "E" litter, EVENING STAR. She has found her niche as an adoring mother to these young stunners.
